Movie Review

Mary Poppins Returns Reviews 1.Mary Poppins Returns 2.Rob Marshall 3. I rate the movie a 7 out of 10. 4.The high point were that it the scenes were almost identical to the original Mary Poppins. 5.The low point was that it was hard for Emily Bunt to fit in the standards Julie Andrews set in the original. 6." We liked just about everything about it. But the one little detail was Emily Blunt. Julie Andrews was perfectly cast in the original role, and there was a genuine warmth between her character and the children. But Emily Blunt, to us just didn't quite click. She is a great actress, and did a very good performance in the role. But there was just that little something missing. Perhaps a little too much drama and a touch of darkness in her portrayal. A lot of the kids in the theater loved the music numbers, but got bored in a few places when it occasionally dragged. Overall a good movie. Just not quite great." Blog #4-Magazine part II

Early Magazine Covers : There were not very many words. The covers weren't Descriptive and didn't have a lot of info. The magazines looked like books. The covers were simple and easy. There weren't many styles and images available at the time. The Poster Cover:   Poster covers had no words. The covers only consisted of photo. They were very simple and easy to make. The photographs brought the ideas and the info that the cover was about. It was a new style that magazine covers had never had. Pictures Married To Type:  This style of cover was all about drawing the reader deeper in the cover. While creating new styles and ways to make covers. That brought ideas for modern covers. In The Forest Of Words:  This style moved away from photos and more to words. Words that made the cover more powerful and brought more detail to the cover. The more words the more detailed and bold the cover was.

Blog #3- My Favorite Cover

Image
This is my favorite cover. Myp  is an online magazine and design project that showcases the work of young creatives and artists. A geometric pattern with varying levels of transparency is laid over the image of a wind-blown model and adds varying depths to the image. The cover creates a whole new dimension. Creating this whole new vibe that draws you into the cover. The shapes make the person in the photo feel farther away so it kinda draws in the person at the same time. The picture is simple but complex which makes the cover more extravagant. The colors makes the photo have a warm feeling to it. Its overall a really good cover. It has multiple elements that draw you deeper and deeper into the photo.  The person in the photo seems free and none caring. Just enjoying life on a breezy day.

Blog #2- Best magazine covers 2015

Image
Three cover i might try to duplicate are : Pretty and Sweet: You would have to add some light flowers with light colors. That create and calm vibe but also pops. Avoid Eye Contact: This could be accomplished by having the person in the picture not look at the game. Like they are looking off in the distance. Add a transparent overlay: This can be made by adding a clear cover over the picture with words and other detail.

Blog #1- Magazine Tips

5 Questions to ask yourself before designing a magazine cover: 1. Is the brand popular or well-known? 2.Is the image appealing? 3.Is the image or item interesting? 4.Is it easy and fast to read/scan? 5.Is it worth the investment?

composition 2- 9/11 pictures

1. Rule of thirds ~ position the most important elements in your scene along these lines, or at the points where they intersect. This picture shows rule of thirds because the main subject to the side and the scene goes along this the lines. The towers also meet at one of the lines points. 2. Balancing Elements (balance) ~Placing your main subject off-centre, as with the rule of thirds, creates a more interesting photo, but it can leave a void in the scene which can make it feel empty. You can achieve a  balanced composition  and even out the main subject's "visual weight" by including another object of lesser importance to fill the space. This pictures shows Balancing Elements because the main subject is off center and the people make lines to the dust in the back of the burning towers. 3. Leading Lines (lines) ~ you can affect the way we view the image, pulling us into the picture, towards the subject, or on a journey "through" the scene. The

Aperture, shutter speed, and ISO

Aperture at f/2.8 Aperture at f/16  We should relate aperture to a pupil. The smaller the aperture the less light and the larger the aperture the more light. The smaller the aperture the more depth that is in focus while the larger aperture the less depth and a blurry background. Post Manipulation and Ethics

Image
A. Main Points i read about involving manipulating photos was if the editing was necessary or need. Also that the editing can be out of control and is considered unethical. B.The Philosophy of newspaper like The Washington Post and The New York Times about Image Manipulation is that there are certain guidelines and rules to follow so the product isn't over edited or manipulated. C. I think its acceptable to like fix teeth or like fill in eyebrows. Also fix red eyes and fix hair and simple stuff. D. I think this picture is unethical because the head on one of American Presidents that helped shape America to the way it is today on to another politician head and its kinda making fun of Abraham Lincoln.. He was president during the civil war and saw the US at its worst and still believed in it.  E. I think this picture is the least unethical because they just changed her teeth. Changing her teeth made her look prettier and more eye catching. Which helped the magazine l

Reflection of 2019

Image
I really like this picture because its Prince Harry and Princess Meghans wedding and i super in love with the whole royal family. I really liked this picture because it shows a miracle baby.  A baby who survived despite the things her mother was doing. I really like this picture because it shows what is going on in the world around us. How the men and woman are out fighting for our country. The best song of 2018 was This Is It by Scotty McCreery. The song was written about when he purposed to his wife. He then married his wife in the later months of 2018. The song is super cute and lets us come along for the journey of his life. I really like the way the song flows and its country which is my absolute favorite.  .               The best movie of 2018 was The Rider. It shows the journey of a cowboy who faces ups and downs. He always went for what he wanted. The movie teaches a important lesson of never give up. Also it was a rodeo movie which made it so much bette
